About Greater Phoenix Basketball

Our purpose is to provide a highly organized and well run youth competitive basketball league. We will provide the opportunity for youth to play basketball in a competitive environment for all levels of play. We will promote an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and fair play with the opportunity for growth of individual skills, team play and the true enjoyment of playing basketball. We will provide these opportunities from the developmental teams and programs as well as the organized club level teams.

Our vision is to focus on providing our youth with the rewarding opportunity of participating in youth sports. We want to provide this opportunity to all players, coaches and parents to develop respect for all aspects of youth basketball including respect for teammates, coaches, opponents and officials. We hope that this participation will develop not only basketball skills but life skills as well. Through participation of youth sports, players will develop skills of teamwork, dedication, discipline, respect, integrity, character, exercise habits and social development that they can carry with them throughout their lifetimes.

Our direction is to promote the participation in basketball in a competitive setting while emphasizing fun and respect for the sport with the spirit of friendly competition for our athletes and their families.

There are many choices for our youth to participate in youth sports and we are looking to separate our league from the others in a positive way. The landscape of competitive youth basketball in the Phoenix area is changing and we feel the time is right to start a new competitive league based on what is best for the players, coaches and their families.
