Spring Break Camp - March 21-24, 2016
March 21 – 24, 2016, Greater Phoenix Basketball will run a 4 day, Spring Break Camp for boys and girls in grades 3 thru 8. Second grade players who are comfortable on the regulation size baskets may also attend the 3rd grade session. The focus will be on skill development and fun during the 3 hour daily camp which will include lots of contests, including Bump Out, Hot Shot, 3 Point Shootout, Pressure Free Throws, Watermelon, Dribble War, Sharks & Minnows, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 tournament formats and relay races. All contests will be fun and competitive. Each clinic will be led by former Arizona State University and professional player, James Andrisevic.
Schedule - Monday, March 21 thru Thrusday, March 24, 2016
9:00am - 12:00am - Grades 3 - 5
12:30am - 3:30pm - Grades 6 -8
Clinic Details
● Complete the registration form and bring it 15 minutes prior to the start of your session with fee
● Cost - $140
● Each sessions is 3 hours long, wear basketball or tennis shoes and loose comfortable clothing
● Bring your own basketball and plenty of water

K-2nd Grade Skills Camp - May 31 - June 9, 2016
Greater Phoenix Basketball will run a 2 week Basketball Skills Camp for players entering Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The 2 week, 4 day per week camp is the perfect introduction to basketball skills for boys and girls. Our format is designed to teach young players basketball skills in a fast paced, fun atmosphere. We will place emphasis on the individual fundamentals of the game including shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, footwork and defense. Our format will include stations, contests, and individual and group instruction. The focus of what we teach for each fundamental is listed below.
Shooting – We teach the BEEF approach to shooting with our special addition.
Dribbling – We teach dribbling basics and encourage kids to dribble with the left and right hands equally.
Ball Handling – We use a wide variety of stationary drills that are both fun and challenging.
Passing – Chest pass, bounce pass and overhead passes are taught as well as focus on catching the pass.
Rebounding – Of course we focus on “Boxing Out” as well as the hustle aspects to rebounding.
Footwork – We focus on basketball specific footwork movements like pivots, jab steps and quick stops.
Coordination – Basketball specific drills along with working on the speed ladder and small hurdles.
Schedule
Session 1 – Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 – 12:00pm – 1:00pm daily
Session 2 - Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 9 – 12:00pm – 1:00pm daily
Cost is $80 for both sessions, or players may choose either one week session for $50

GPB K-2nd Grade Skills Camp Reg Form
All Sports Camp - May 31 - June 9, 2016
Greater Phoenix Sports will run a 4-day, 2 1/2-hour per day, All Sports Camp for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. Session one will be held June 2 through June 5 for students entering grades 3 – 5 and session two will be held June 9 through June 12 for students entering grades 6 – 8. The GPS All Sports Camp will provide campers an opportunity to develop skills in a wide range of individual and team sports. Campers will be introduced to the skills and techniques related to sports like Basketball, Dodgeball, Kick Ball, Soccer, Football, Whiffle ball and Frisbee. Teamwork and Sportsmanship will be emphasized throughout the week as campers are introduced to the techniques and skills required for each sport.

Session 2 - Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 9, 1:30pm - 4:00pm, Grades 6th - 8th
